Yokai
Dynamic Tech House duo Yokai is made up of Justin Savoie and TJ Wiler. Taking their name from a Japanese supernatural spirit, Yokai’s eclectic sound combines futuristic mixes, artistic ambition and classic tech house elements, all over a strong and animated bass line. The pair draw on multiple house genres to create an innovative and boundary-pushing style that is winning fans both online and on dance floors across the US and beyond. The Florida-based pair fell in love with house music after attending legendary music experience Holy Ship!, and have since established a name for themselves in their home state and further afield.
Developing a unique sound that proves immensely popular with crowds, they have supported and headlined across the United States, and toured as far from home as Mexico. On the festivals circuit, they have played sets at Burning Man, Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando, Okeechobee Music Festival, Atlanta’s Imagine Music Festival, Home Bass, Groove Cruise and Live Oak’s Suwannee Hulaween.
In 2020, Yokai had their first breakthrough release on Rawesome Records. The record featured the knock-out track “What”, and soon began racking up streams and downloads. They have since headed into 2021 with another big release on Golf Clap’s Country Club Disco featuring their song “Drugs”, which has already received support from major artists David Guetta and many more. With new music, more festivals, live events, and exciting collaborations on the way you can begin to expect that big things are now in store for the pair.
